so i consulted three different jewish calendars online and sure enough, he appears to be right.
i went back to 2014 and forward to 2027. they have the future dates listed.
A few online sources say Passover is calculated 14 days from the new moon closest to the equinox, not after it. Some others say it's the first full moon after the equinox- which is almost the same thing.
The closest new moon to the march equinox is March 10. So 14 days from then is March 24.
please, please ignore all the scientific impossibilities here, that's not what this topic is about.. let's make the assumption as many christians do that the bible is historically accurate.

Threats like the one in Leviticus, tap into the fears of members of early civilisations. Famine, attacks by wild animals, natural disasters, disease etc, were real fears, just like they are today, except we understand the cause wasn't angry, displeased spirits.
A society that believed they lived and died at the whim of god(s) bred radical, superstitious behaviour with barbarous punishments, which we have inherited. Those behaviours are hard to shake off.
Something like disfellowshipping is directly related to these early beliefs.

I understand that the passover falls 14 days from the first new moon after the spring equinox.
March 20, 2024: spring equinox
April 8, 2024: First new moon after Spring Equinox
22 April: Passover (+ 14 days from April 8).

Regarding re-instating disfellowshipped people,there has been a leak of a 2024 watchtower that discusses the new light from the annual meeting regarding who will be forgiven.
That talk , was it by Splane??- is all about second guessing God's thought process concerning events such as the destruction of Sodom and if anyone will be resurrected, even though god explicitly stated there was no one worth saving, not even, presumably, babies.
This talk, and also the talk about salvation being possible right up until the end, after the great tribulation has started,seems to set the scene for the possibility to change policies around disfellowshipped ones, and disfellowshipping in general.
As others have pointed out, if there is a mass reinstatement event, I doubt apostates will be invited to the party.

it was huge in jw land back then.. at that time, with the reasoning book, jws were trained to keep conversations going in spite of objections, to almost stick their feet in people's doors to keep conversations going, to defend "the truth," to argue doctrine, etc.. compare the situation today with that of the 80's.
The Reasoning Book is an embarrassment to the org. It only made sense because of the old generation teaching and I cant believe it wasnt deleted from the online library years ago.
